LCL Sales Manager
This global outfit are a market leader in the seafreight container business, airfreight and in high growth mode from an exisiting network of 300 offices across 160 countries. RJM has partnered with our client on the recruitment of several South China and Hong Kong based career opportunities.
Our client is in the talent market to identify and attract a Sales Manager with expettise in the LCL freight market. The successful candidate will thrive on developing new business and managing a sales team (50/50 time allocation).
Role & Responsbility
- Contribute to the Sales development strategy sales strategy and business development plans into appropriate market segments.
- Ensure knowledge of day to day market development and accurately assess the opportunities provided.
- Market analysis, and react quickly for company’s competitiveness and sales development.
- To set up sales targets in agreement with the Branch Manager. To implement the targets ensuring achievement and maximum returns.
- Control each team member to completion rate of their own budget.
- To promote and sell products & services and to reach company’s sales target.
- Responsible for development of new customers and maintain current customers in order to achieve sales target.
- Follow the Sales process with prospect and targeted clients, including design of solutions, advice and negotiation.
- Establish and maintain long term customer relationship and enlarge customer networking
- Support new business development and expansion of existing services within the organization.
- Continuously promote sales activities personally, including calls, sales presentations, sales pipeline and sales solutions by developing and concentrating on new key accounts, visiting existing accounts.
- Coordinate with operation departments for the daily operation issues such as cargo status tracing etc.
- Focusing on highest possible data quality, visibility and usage of CRM.
Qualifications / Experience
- College degree or above.
- Minimum 6-8years sales experience, at least 3 years sales experience and team management experience in freight forwarding industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of LCL industry, familiar with operation processes, trade lane and shipping market.
- A results-driven individual with a successful track record in new business development.
- Business acumen, customer-oriented, self-motivated, able to work under pressure.
- Able to effectively communicate and build relationships with customers from all nationalities and are confident in social and business networking situations
- Have a combination of great interpersonal skills and persistence whilst being detail oriented and organized with a strong focus on quality customer service.
- A strategic thinker with long term planning abilities which you have the drive and determination to implement
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
