Our client is a Management Consultancy dedicated to the global commodities industry with more than 90 years of experience.  This firm have a global reputation for premium research and consultancy products and services.
 
Career Opportunity: Head of Consulting
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the consulting practice and will be a key member of the Company’s management team. Key responsiblilities include procuring, managing and delivering consultancy projects; growing the number of clients and the value assignments; managing the consultancy workforce; and  responsible for consulting’s profit and loss and performance against KPI’s set the managing director and board. The candidate will also support existing team of analysts, providing commodity-specific input to research and analytical support on multi-client reports. The candidate will represent the company at industry conferences, its own events and in the media. Business development with existing and potential new clients to expand consulting offering is also a requisite of the role.
 
Background and experience (required): 
 
At least ten years professional experience, preferably in the commodities business, in consulting and analysis
Previous experience in managing people and a profit and loss account
A proven track record in winning and retaining clients
Educated to a graduate or doctoral degree
Experience with socio-economic analysis (SEA) and ESG, including input-output models
Familiarity with forecasting techniques, quantitative modelling, and/or financial analysis
Excellent writing skills, and demonstrated ability to complete intricate work to a high professional standard
Ability to speak to professional industry audiences, and work with others in a team
Fluency in English, foreign language skills an advantage 
 
Location: The position will be based at our client’s London office. International travel at short notice possible with at least one trip every other month
