Export Operation Manager – Hong Kong based
This global outfit are a market leader in the sea freight container business, airfreight and in high growth mode from their existing network of 300 offices across over 160 countries. RJM have partnered with our client on the recruitment of several South China and Hong Kong based career opportunities.
Currently our client is in the market to identify and attract a Export Operations Manager who will be based in the Hong Kong office.
Objectives:
In charge of all the export department Management issues.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall operations function including annual budget/target setting in order to achieve the objectives of the Company.
- Supervise inbound or outbound freight operations including shift planning, freight loading and unloading, proper documentation and procedure control.
- Ensure an efficient service is supplied to clients, customers both local and overseas.
- Monitor operation’s function report to analyse, monitor and evaluation
- Assist in establishing and monitoring of agreements with agents and contractors to ensure the best level of service at the best price.
- Responsible for the overall Exports Operations Team daily management and monthly/yearly performance assessment.
Job Skills and Competencies for this position:
- Previous experience of minimum 5 years in NVOCC/shipping/logistics/freight forwarding industry.
- Team Management experience minimum 2-3years in previous role.
- College degree or above, major in international trade, shipping, freight forwarding and customs declaration or related logistics management preferred.
- Proficient in Windows operating system and Office software. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including writing and maintaining VBA Macro’s
- Excellent written and communication skills in English,CET-6 preferred.
- Able to bear high pressure, have a sense of responsibility and strong adaptability and communication skills.
- Proactive, patient, gentle, meticulous and service-oriented.
- Sensitive response for market dynamics (route changes, freight rates, relevant national policies...) is preferred.
The successful candidate will be experienced particularly in LCL and Export functions although some FCL and Import function experience is also desired.
