After Sales Manager, Japan

Overview: 

This international outfit has over 30 years of experience in Japan’s sheet metal business, known for its premium and high-performance machines designed and equipped with cutting edge technology. The local organization composed of sales, after sales, project management and application departments as main functions. The after sales organization comprises of field engineers coordinated by a manager that define schedule and priority. Field engineers are also installing and testing the machines sold, while providing technical training to customers for the production startup.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

Top priority of the After Sales Manager is to ensure timely and permanent fixes for machines. This is crucial for maintaining high customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business. 

 

The successful candidate will stimulate the company to embrace a spirit of change, and who has the capability of developing and modernizing the organization, in order to enable it to offer and deliver a more advanced and proactive level of service to our customers.

 

 

To provide these valuable services, developing the organization is essential. The successful candidate will organize training programs, either at the European facilities or locally, emphasizing knowledge transfer from senior to junior technicians. Maintaining healthy relationships with sales, application, and marketing departments is also crucial for alignment and a cohesive approach to our goals.

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key personnel at headquarters is an important activity which will ensure you get the full support from HQ whenever you require it.

 

 

Soft Skills: 

To succeed in this role, the successful candidate will need to be proficient in English for clear communication with headquarters. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under stress are also crucial. Additionally, team-building skills, a proactive attitude, and good use of Office 365 are important.

 

Candidate Requirements: 

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. Experience with a foreign company is a plus. 

The successful candidate will be Japan based and reporting to the Managing Director.
